Default dat problem, I think

Recently, I burned a cd with CDBurner XP-Pro 3 and came out with a disk
full of tracks.
With 'explorer', I can't look inside these tracks. The display just
shows 'Track1.dat', etc.
They play fine with the CD player that came with Win98. I burned it as
a music disk,not
expecting what I got.

Ideally, I'd want just a CD full of songs and the ability to view what
was on what disk.
I guess what I want to know is whether or not there is a way to burn the
music to the CD, and
not have to play the whole **** thing to find out what songs are on it.

Guess you can tell I'm a raw novice at making CD's. <shrug>

Thanks for any help or advice y'all might have.
