works exactly that way.
Have never had sound level problems.
Different revisions of the software had different ways of capture
type (WMV, VGA, ATI, etc) and resolutions.
That is why i recommended that you try differnt revs of your software
to see if that would make a difference.
But, if your card needs that cable from it to the LINE IN motherboard
connector, then the problem is not via the card; it is via software.
