How to record closed-captions with TV Wonder 650?

The included Catalyst Media Center displays but doesn't seem to
be able to record closed captions. The recorded file format is
mpeg only. Is there a different software that does the job?

To add, I'm not seeing closed-captions displayed for any HDTV
channels. Why is that?
