Hey guys. How long will it be before any 4850's with a dual-slot
cooler (something similar to that on the 3870 and 4870) that not only
fixes the current fan speed issue on the 4850's (see other posts about
the ridiculously high temperatures recorded on 4850's with the default
settings) but would also exhaust the hot air out of the case.
It's enough to make me strongly consider saving ~£20 and getting a
well cooled 3870 that doesn't need the fan to run at it's highest
speed (and end up sounding like a vacuum cleaner).

Looks like the familiar IceQ / AC Silencer design, should be quiet enough to
run at full speed all the time.

Million-dollar question! You are better off phoning your favorite e-tailers
(overclockers.co.uk , scan.co.uk, etc.) and ask when they expect to receive
the HIS HD 4850 IceQ4.

To complicate matters slightly, according to the Turkish forum post, there
are two expected SKUs, a standard-clocked IceQ4 Turbo selling for $25 over
the reference model, and an overclocked IceQ4 TurboX selling for $35 over
the reference model. Clock speeds for the TurboX are either unknown or not
finalized.

I hope the Vortexx Neo fits your 4850 well. The cooler is "universal", not
designed for any particular model. Depending on the position of the GPU on
the PCB, the heat sink shroud may fall short of the backplate, negating the
whole "outside exhaust" thing.
