Ati wonder 650 and a third party free program to watch tv
Hello I was wondering if there are any good free programs to use with the
650 beside catalyst media center and that is horrible in my opinion, and
reboots my computer for no reason. I have tried watchHDTV it works great and
I really like it but I was just curious if there are any other free programs
that I may like even better. Or if ATI has any plans of updating CMC.
If anyone is considering this card it really does produce a good picture.

Can't say for sure about support for your card but GB-PVR and MediaPortal
would be a couple to look at.

Thanks for the input!
I just tried MediaPortal and it worked but seemed slow compared to
watchHDTV. GB-PVR I couldn't figure out how to set up the channels with it
which was easy enough to do with the other programs. I will stick with
watchHDTV until I can find a better program or ATI updates CMC.

Try WatchHDTV. It's Freeware, quick, simple, no frills, and just plain
works.
Cheers!

Thats allright . I appreciate the response. WatchHdtv really works great I
doubt that there is a better progam, just figured that I would give another
program a try. My friend said that he heard ATI was releasing an upgrade to
Catalyst Media Center soon. Hopefully if that is true then it will be a free
upgrade and will work better.
