agp 2x/4x compatible video cards

Anyone know of a somewhat current video card that will work on a
motherboard with an AGP 2x/4x slot? I have an Abit KR7A-RAID
motherboard. Any info would be appreciated.

My wife's computer is an ECS K7VTA3 that is limited to AGP 4X. It runs
an ATI 9600 4X / 8X AGP card with no problems.

There was a voltage incompatibility between modern mainboards (AGP4x and
AGP8x boards) and ancient gfx cards which all predate the Geforce- and
Radeon-line (Matrox G400, S3 Savage, RivaTNT2, Rage128, SiS 6xx) and
aren't sold any more for more than 5 years now. Putting one of these
cards in a modern mobo could fry the board.

Since these cards are that ancient it's hardly an issue any more...

I can never remember all the issues with AGP. I recall some where
along the line they had a major voltage incompatibility between some
boards and some cards. Double check before you buy.

I'm using an x850 in a 2x/4x AGP slot (intel 850emv mobo)

No way to fry the boards or cards since the AGP cards were keyed for the two
voltages. It was impossible to plug the higher voltage old card into the newer
slots.

That is wrong! My P4T-E came with a separate insert warning of a couple
of older AGP video cards that were not keyed correctly. The insert
stated that using one of these cards would destroy the board and void
the warranty.
