My ASUS A8V Deluxe works perfectly on Vista with 2GB DDR400 Corsair RAM
using a Netcomm NP542 WLAN PCI wireless network card. However, i would like
Vista to run a little faster, but installing a 3rd Corsair RAM chip (either
position) seems to stop the wireless from recognising any wireless networks.
I remove the chip - voila - i have networks available again. I have tried
shuffling all RAM chips, and the 1st two chips are in their correct positon
in the blue bays. Ihave even replaced the RAM and mobo!!! I have also
re-installed Vista with no success.
Any ideas why? I'm completely stuck. Are you allowed 3 RAM chips? Would a
4th chip solve the problem?
Cheers ppl
Brendan.

Strange problem you have there.....:-). It sounds like a hardware conflict
issue, but I have also found that Vista does some strange things with the
way it handles hardware too. Have you tried uninstalling the wireless
adapter and installing it after the ram, or even trying a different adapter?
Post back if you find the problem..... I am interested in that one.

Ed, I have tried both those solutions, and still have the same problem. It
makes absoultely no sense. I have replaced EVERY piece of harware and
re-installed Vista and still have the same problem. I think I'll just have
to live with only 2GB RAM
Cheers
