Default Where find Asus Compatible Memory List P5K-V ?

Is there a place on the Asus web site to find tested and approved
memory for their motherboards. I have a P5K-V and the manual shows
about 5 choices for 1066 memory but the manual is more then a year
old. Is there a resource that keeps this upto date?

Also puzzled that the Asus manual states the motherboard can run upto
1066 memory. But in the ASUS manual one of the only OCZ memory part
numbers it said it could run is OCZ2FX11502GK.

Which I noticed is the following….
OCZ Flex XLC 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1150 (PC2 9200)

This memory seems to be faster then 1066 memory, is this a problem, or
does this make sense?

Thanks.

In general, I don't think Asus cares too much, about its QVL
memory list. This one is downloaded from the product page
on the Asus web site.

I think a fair amount of effort goes into the list, just before
the product release date. After that, they lose all interest in
it. (The PDF date field in the above doc is 5/30/2007.)

A faster RAM can be used at slower settings. So if the motherboard
only runs at 1066, then the faster memory will run at that
speed.

And for the particular product you have in mind, I'd also do a
mechanical check around the DIMM slot area. These look pretty
tall, and might bump into a cooler. Or perhaps you won't be able
to pull them out of their socket, once the CPU cooler is installed.
Check the reviews, for more comments about whether these are the
real deal or not.
