It stands to reason that if Asus dont have them no one else will

From what I have read elsewhere Vista gets updated drivers for your devices
(if available) from the update site during instal.
Not much help though if your ethernet isn't recognised.
Perhaps you could try this Marvell Yukon driver. http://www.marvell.com/drivers/uploa..._v9.16.2.3.zip
Everything work perfectly for me. Vista home premium + P4C800 (promise
driver downloaded from promise.com).

When I loaded Vista the network connection just wasn't working - even
the recommended Marvel generic driver (see above) isn't recognised by
Vista as being an appropriate driver. Did you perhaps do an upgrade
instead of a clean install? I guess this way you could update the
drivers prior to installing Vista.
Could you let me have a copy of your drivers (easily)?
With that older motherboard, it will be a while, if ever, that Asus writes
Vista drivers for it.

If you look in the INF file, you can see why the generic driver might
not be accepted. You'd have to compare the generic driver, to some
of the old drivers from the Asus site for your board, for older
OSes.
For example, a line like this in the generic driver package INF:
would need the "&SUBSYS_001010B7" removed at the end of the line, so
that the driver would match and install for any 10B7:1700 chip it finds.
This is from the "pci.ids" file from sourceforge. It lists the vendor,
device, and subsystem codes for PCI devices. Not all devices are included,
but this is a good sampling. The Asus SUBSYS code is 1043, which is what
would be used for their motherboards. The 80eb identifies the motherboard.
Removing the SUBSYS at the end of the above line, makes the driver match
any instance of 10B7:1700 it finds.

If you compare the INF on the old drivers you can find on the
Asus download page, then the 001010B7 SUBSYS is appropriate for the
SLYukCopGig_01.ndi part. The "SLYukCopGig_01.ndi" seems appropriate
for "Single Link, Copper".
So if the Vista install is a clean install, and you have nothing to use,
modify the generic driver via changing the INF. And if Vista complains
because it doesn't like a line without a SUBSYS in it, then find out what
SUBSYS the motherboard is claiming, with a tool like Everest (PCI Devices).
For example, in this thread, they suggest the following be used at
the end of the line. It seems the 80EB might be used for several
motherboards.

I currently have the same problem. I did not tried yet (will do so
tonight at home) but it seems that following link should allow you to
download the driver compatible with P4C800 and vista
