Default Power Cycling in Asus P4P800-MX

I had this strange problem with a used Asus P4P800-MX board I bought
recently. I've solved this issue, and I thought I'd post my solution
for the record.

The board worked fine outside the computer case. When I installed it
on the case offsets, it would power up for about 10 seconds, get to
the Windows XP starting up logo, and then go back to the BIOS welcome
screen and repeat the cycle.

I called Asus tech support, and they thought it might be a short.
Looked over the board, and I couldn't see any suspects. Called them
back, and they suggested the board might be warped, and screwing it
down flat stressed a connection. I loosened some of the case offsets
so that they came up to meet the bottom of the board. Then when I
******* it down, the board maintained its slightly warped shape.
BINGO!!!

Hopefully this solution is permanent, and maybe this post will help
someone else. BTW, this board does not have an AGP slot.
ARRRGHHH!!! I've bought two boards on the net, and both times I
******* up. Maybe I'll learn. Maybe not.
