How can I uninstall Gear 3+ ans its drivers? I want to install
rmclock, which gives more controll over the performance / clockrates /
voltages, in more steps and in user definable profiles. But it wont
work as long as Asus drivers for Gear and EPU are acrive. Does anybody
know how to uninstall them or what files I should delete? TIA

Ys, in safe mode the cpu clock does not change between multiplier 6
and 8, deoending on processor load. so there must be some driver or
service which detects the load and changes the multiplier. Any ideas
what it is, filename, how to remove it??

When I tried RMClock, I think it added a power management scheme to
the Power Options control panel ("RMClock Power Management"). Have a look
in there, and see if that "Gear" thing has done something similar. What is
really puzzling in my case, is RMClock is not currently running, and yet
my Power Options still shows "RMClock Power Management" as the current
scheme.

Yes, but did you try to remove Gear3 using the Remove Programs app
under the Control panel while you where in safe mode?
