What's your time worth ? Most people's time is worth $25-$35 per
hour. Making an adapter can run at least 2 hours. Do yourself a
favor and go out and get yourself a hard disk enclosure that turns
the drive into a USB portable drive. Assunibg it's a PATA (IDE)
drive. If it's an SATA, then get an enclosure that will convert SATA
to USB.
You can get these enclosures from anywhere from about $15 up to $90.
Besides, after this data recovery exercise is over you can put your
HDD back into the desktop, look for a hdd on sale, pick one up and
you have an excellent backup device for both systems.
I had a system failure and thought I had everything backed up properly.
However, files I didn't think where important turned out to be
important. How can I hook up my secondary desktop drive to a Dell laptop
as secondary also? I know there is way! I have a dell inspiron 5000
and it does support a second HD. I don't want to purchase any adapters
if I can make one.
Thanks in advance.
