Default A7N8X-VM/400 - video (text) looks blurred

Text on desktop looks sort of blurred. Like a printout where the ink
is running out.

I've got an ASUS A7N8X-VM/400 motherboard. PC runs Windows XP Pro.
I've just re-installed XP, downloaded the drviers from the ASUS
website (video driver, and utilities), installed both of these.

Monitor is a HANNS-G HU171D TFT.

Strangely enough, when I uninstall the Nforce2 application in control
panel the text is no longer blurred (but its terribly slow scrolling
through a doc).

Any ideas?

If you're using the on board video then try using the NVIDIA drivers
from the web site for you're card.the asus web site says that its a
Integrated GeForce4 MX GPU, so these are the drivers they say to use
