Default removeable drives

This is a elementary question but I need help just the same. I have an Acer
T180 with Vista Home Premium. I show several removable drives labeled Disk 1
Removable (G), Disk 2 Removable (H) and so on.

What are these? How do I used them? What are they for? What do they do?

Thanks for any info. AL

Default Re: removeable drives

Does your PC have memory card reader slots (SD, CF, etc)? If so each slot
will be recognized as a drive in Windows and assigned a drive letter.
