Default Aspire 3100 Battery

How long (approx) should a fully charged battery last?

Mine goes for about 3 hours before I get a message saying to change to
mains power.

Consider yourself fortunate. A more common run time is closer to 2.5 hrs.

You're only solution, that I can think of, would be a separate portable
power supply. I haven't checked into these things lately, but I'm sure
somebody makes one that would work.
