Default NF7-S not POSTing

after a few days eventually got the machine to post by removing the
cmos battery and resetting values, once fired up its fine and
stable, however if it is shutdown it will not post again unless the
battery is removed and everything reset .I have tried replacing the
cmos battery but doesent make any difference.any suggestions would be
appreciated.
