Is there one that's for 2.5 inch SATA drives with similar
design? I like the tray being both externally (USB) and
internally (SATA) mountable.

A bit expensive. What's the effective transfer rate of
eSATA?

I would also be concerned about lack of forced draft cooling
(i.e. no fan) and reliance on convective cooling. The effective
transfer rate of eSATA is identical to SATA, whatever that is
argued to be, but very definitely faster than USB 2.0. If you're
interested in knowing more about eSATA, here is a white paper
written by Silicon Image: http://www.sata-io.org/documents/Ext...WP%2011-09.pdf
