Default Clear Items from Search Pull-Down Menu

How do I clear the folder locations from my search box pull-down menu?
It's one at the top of the search box. I have already cleared search
history in iexplore and forms/password history in the internet options.
*-I--n order to keep my computer secure-*, I want to clear the contents
of the list that says "search-ms:" so that no one can see what folders I
have accessed or made searches in.

Hi,

If you're referring to the list of folders and locations listed in the
dropdown menu under search, that is actually the IE TypedURLs key in the
registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

Delete unwanted strings from the right pane to remove the reference to
unwanted history.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

In case anyone needs to know...

to access this path in the system registry, open the Task Manager and
click File, New Task (Run...), and type *regedit*.

This will open the Registry Editor. Then on the left, follow the path
(specified in the forum response above) by clicking on the correct
folders.

When you reach the TypedURLs folder, Click on the name of the url you
want to delete and press DELETE. You will be asked to confirm this
action, and press YES or NO.

THANKS AGAIN TO *RICK ROGERS*.
