It's only delayed from automatic downloading. You can still get it manually
from Microsoft's Website:

Interesting. I heard the RTM was formerly released but wasn't aware
of this. Thanks Tom for expanding on what I said (actually what I
read).

The final release was available from M$ yesterday 4/29/08 as mentioned. It
is a 316 MByte downlad. Installation went just fine.

I then promptly uninstalled it. It "broke" something in Diskeeper V9. I got
a warning/error message each time I tried to run Diskeeper.

RMS is the offending product.)

I ran the release candidate on an old NCR Pentium 4 PC. And while I
did expect that there might be problems, there were none. The system
remained as stable as ever.
