Default Emergency Help

Hi recently when i try to open the control panel in vista it starts loading
but then i get a message saying windows explorer is restarting.... I ahvent
been able to open control panel since this problem happened. Help please i
need control panel back thank guys

Try to do boot the machine in safe mode after hitting F8 and restart it
(without opening the Control Panel),, it could clear the problem. If not,
start in safe mode again, open Control Panel and collect error messages
related to this event in Event Viewer. Post them here.

Ok firstly i loaded safe mode but when safe mode starts the explorer seems to
be closing itselfs. Even when i load task manager and try to retrieve
explorer it just closes itselfs. I really need to get rid of this problem..
much help needed...

I managed to log event viewer from administrative tools and i searched for
the error details. This is what i got

Faulting application Explorer.EXE, version 6.0.6000.16549, time stamp
0x46d230c5, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6000.16386, time stamp
0x4549bdc9, exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x000af1c9, process id
0x76c, application start time 0x01c85e566f8027e0.

Is an LHA extraction utility installed to your system?
Is LplsShlx.dll on your system?

Is that file on your system?

If not, you'd either need to provided crash data for a different crash or to
provide the actual crash DMP file to look at. =\
