I need to get a 256 meg stick for the above mentioned laptop. I see these
specs listed: 256MB LP 1.15" 144 Pin PC100 32x64 SDRAM (16x8 MBGA) SODIMM as
being compatible. I'm uncertain about the 16x8 MBGA portion, would a module
with these specs work: 256MB Low Profile 144 Pin PC100 32x64 CL2 SDRAM
SODIMM ( 8 Chip). The latter is nearly half the price from the same site:
http://www.datamem.com/viewitems.asp?C=990&K=&IT_KEY=254&action=open&x=#DM50%20135
I'm really unclear on these specs and having no luck finding a site that
explains them. Any help would be appreciated.

A sickened mind and spirit
The mirror tells me lies
Could I mistake myself for someone
Who lives behind my eyes
Will he escape my soula
Or will he live in me
Is he tryin' to get out or tryin' to enter me
Shows the differences. Now, what's the real deal on compatibility issues
between the two? The one that burnt out is 16 chip.

THX 1138
..
The Armada E500 uses an Intel 440BX chipset. It supports memory chip densities up to
128Mbit. You will need a 256MB SODIMM with sixteen 16Mx8(128Mbit) chips. The 256MB
SODIMM with eight 32Mx8(256Mbit) chips won't work properly.
