Does the S2885 properly support the HE and EE Opteron
240 and 246 ?
The HE uses a VCore of 0.10 volts less than the ordinary
Opterons and the EE uses a VCore of 0.20 volts less.
Those processors *can* be run at the same voltages as
ordinary Opterons, but then all power/heat reduction
benefits that you pay such a big premium for are lost.
Can anyone confirm from personal experience that this
motherboard works at the proper VCore with either the
HE or EE processors? |
