Hi everyone,

I own an old cisco router that I keep to experiment stuff. I recently
opened it to find out what type of memory was installed on it. There
is approximatively 8 kind of chips on the motherboard (if i consider
the size and the supplier origin, which is not always mentioned
though).

How can I find the usage of these chips, considering the fact that I
havent find any specs for my router? Some chips have only serial
number on them. Is there an visual encyclopedia I can consult that
would enumerate the different kind of chips sizes and looks?

Thanks

Most people watching this group have never ventured beyond board
level. If you need chip level expertise, then repost your question,
with logos and part number details, to sci.electronics.components.
