I have some computers with a k7s5a motherboard and cpu AMD 1800+. Although
wol is enabled in bios, I can not start up the pc from an other one. I found
a connector on the mb, but this seems to connect an other nic to the mb. I
am using Magic Packet, perhaps this program doesn't work with AMD. It works
perfectly with an Intel cpu. |

I, and others, were not successful in getting WOL to work with the
onboard NIC. Apparently, the feature only works with an "add-in" NIC
that includes the WOL connection to the mobo.
