Hi,
I have an OLD Epox motherboard, a "P55TV2". I've been able to download
the motherboard manual from Epox's NL website:

I know that this motherboard is working, but I had taken it out of the
computer case, and, in reviewing the above manual, it shows the main
power connector on the board layout, but there is no information on the
pinout of the power connector.
The power connector on the motherboard is a 12-pin male connector.
From the power supply, I have two white 6-pin connectors, but I cannot
tell which of these two connectors goes into the left vs. right-side of
the power connector on the motherboard.
As I mentioned, I know that this is a very old motherboard, but I was
wondering if there is any possibility that anyone might be able to
advise me of the pinout of the power connector on the motherboard?
I have the color code for the wires to the power supply connectors, so I
should then be able to figure out which connector goes where.
Also, the CPU on the board is a Pentium MMX 233, and I was wondering if
anyone could confirm that the proper jumper settings for this CPU are:
JP5: 10-23
JP6: 1-2

If you actually try to plug in the connectors you will find they only
mate (easily, without being forced) one way. As I recall, the black
wires go in the middle.

mate (easily, without being forced) one way. As I recall, the black
wires go in the middle.

They seem to go in fairly easily either way  .
I notice that the fan power header has +12V on it. If I take a
ohmmeter, and just ohm between the power connector pins and this fan
power header +12V, would that be a good way to tell for sure (not sure
if the +12V from the power supply gets passed directly to the +12V on
the motherboard)?

Must be an AT power supply. The black connectors go to the middle when
plugged in.

Sounds like an older AT-style board. Install the two connectors with
the black wires together. |

They seem to go in fairly easily either way .

They shouldn't. There are a couple of small protuberances on the wire
connectors that match slots (+/-) in the barrier on the motherboard
connector. It should be much easier to put them together right than
to force them together wrong.
Others have now confirmed my recollection that the black wires go
in the middle.

That should work. Every power supply I've ever opened up just has all
the +12 leads soldered together internally.

Thanks!!
It took awhile, but I was amazed that I finally got a response from Epox
tech support confirming this (the amazement was because it is such an
old board, and I thought for sure that they'd just tell me it's "too
old").

Thanks. It's definitely been a challenge (see my next post  ), but I
hate to just throw it away. I'm thinking that I can set it up as a
Linux server to do something, at least.
