I have a new K7VTA3 MB with 333mhz FSB
CPU temperature sensor is fine but the case tempurature is running crazy.
My CPU, core voltages are accurate but my +12 an -12 are low.
I have verified that all voltages are normal with my voltmeter at the power supply plug and HD/CD connections.

I have the latest BIOS 6.0b 7/7/04

I know this is a cheap board.

Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything. I've had 4 of these boards - 2 version 6
and 2 version 8, and all four had the same behavior as yours. The CPU
temp and core voltages appear OK but most other temps and voltages are
reported incorrectly. I tried several monitoring programs and none
reported accurate readings. The problem must be with the MB sensors.
Did your onboard speaker connection work when posting? None of mine
did. (Not the jack for the onboard sound system, but the PC speake
that comes with the case).

I have 3 of these boards.
Tried everything....Speedfan, Motherboard Monitor, Hmonitor, etc.
I get crazy readings with all of them.
Otherwise the boards are very stable and work fine.

I have a ver. 8, and MBM5 said that the +12V was +10.6xV and SpeedFan
reported that it alternated between +6V and +8V every second. But all
the time, my digital multimeter showed +12.11V.

Does the thermal shutdown built into the BIOS work? It can't be set
that low, so I don't have the guts to test it. Fortunately I'm
running just a 1.6 GHz Duron with a heatsink so big that it takes an
hour before the CPU reaches 70C. I also have a homemade hardware
circuit to shut off the mobo if the CPU gets too hot.
