i have k7s5a pro, want to install two hd, is there any tricks or problems i
will encounter.

No, there certainly shouldn't be. I run my Windows 2003 Server with an
AthlonXP 2200+ with three hard drives and one CD ROM drive.

I've got ver 5.0 of that board and have had only one loss of cmos in
18 months despite what others say.

Deciding whether to run both hd on the same ide channel or to
separate them is the question. Once you decide that then make sure
you set them up correctly as primary and slave.

I'd get the latest bios before I started. It's kind of old now, but
you may not have it.

Just install the second drive, off the second ide connection, and make sure
that you have SLAVE jumper (back of drive) enabled.

Boot windows and you can format the drive from within windows if the new
drive is blank (assumed..)
