|
|
Playing Deus Ex 2 and I keep seeing little black dots everywhere, best
example is on the holo woman in the starting room. This has happened with
the 3.9 and 4.1 Cats and happens with or without Bloom, Multisampling etc.
Has anyone else had this? |

Admittedly I'm only playing the demo and these can have |
glitches but the same thing is happening to me.
My system:
Athlon XP 2200+
1Gb DDR PC2100
Radeon 9700Pro
Cat 4.1
Win XP Pro |

You need to turn off your AA and ANIO in display properties. Put it to
application preference.

Thanks, but I did that and it's still glitchy. |

Two possibilities:-
1. Ati may not have got around to fixing their drivers for DX:IW. They
have been doing a lot of catch-up in driver fixes for other games
in 3.10 and 4.1. The time taken working with Valve in HL2
driver-optimization set them back quite a bit.
2. Your card is overheating ? Try some freeze-spray (gently) and see
if the spots reduce or disappear.
