how is it if I format my drive as FAT 32 using windows98SE I get 155GB but
when I use winXP installation I only get 128GB. I have used win98SE to do
this and then upgraded and all was well but doesn't this complicate things a
lot

p.s. mobo = 8KRA2+ and recognises the limit and the ATA133 interface

The Windows XP setup program will recognize disk space past the 128GB
boundary if the XP installation CD incorporates SP1. If you have the
original XP CD, you can achieve this by slipstreaming it with SP1.
