why does it take 2 times to get winXP to shut down? it reboots instead of
turning off after the first time you click "shut down" , then after the
reboot , you click"shutdown" and it does shut down?? any info greatly

Most likely because something has crashed during the shutdown and
WinXP automatically restarts. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel
| Quote: | System and click on Advaned tab. Then click on setting button under
Startup and Recovery. Deselect "Automatically restart" under system |
failure.
