|
|
Hi,
I live in the UK and have family who live in the USA. I do am a keen
photographer and make home movies and take pictures etc. then burn them onto
a disc (CD-R) and send to family who live in the states.
I check the discs before sending them. They work fine. However my family
get errors and some pictures don't open. They've checked them on different
PC's, different drives, etc. but the files are still corrupt. Therefore the
CD has got corrupted somewhere in transit.
My question is that is it possible that CD-R's that are sent abroad can be
corrupted by electronic fields or some kind of scanning/machinery in
transit? This has happened more than once and so I am wondering what the
problem may be.
Thanks,
Cassandra |

Have you confirmed that the disks have changed in some way since they |
left you? I.e. have you got your family to return one of the discs to
you, and do you then find you have difficulties opening some files on
your computer?
