=====================================================
I have a couple of problems with Nero 5.5.6.1.
My set-up is XP Home, Nero 5.5.6.1, Lite-on LTR-48246S.
Nero when first installed automatically picked up the Lite-on, but now
only has an Image Drive as the available hardware.
At first there was no problem, but now when attempting to burn with the
Image Drive I am prompted to save an image, which starts a burn process
of caching then then a burn process failure.
Also, I can't do a incremental burn to fill up unused space on a CD-R
any longer. I also can't add files to an existing CD-RW ... musy start
with a clean disc.
I can burn using Windows Media Payer 9 and through XPs tools, but Nero
has some features that I'd like to use.
Thanks in advance,
David

Is this the version of Nero that came with your writer?
Failure to recognize a writer that otherwise works fine suggests an OEM
version for another writer, or simply an older version. I would update to
5580 using the version available from http://www.oldversion.com or the last
of the 5500 upgrades available from Nero, however, if you are using an
inappropriate OEM serial neither will work any better.
InCD and Windows XP burning tools would conflict with one another. You can
only have one of these active.

Could you explain, what do you mean precisely by that?
I am using Nero ver 5.5.10.45 with win XP. I had some
strange info. when coping DVD film, saying, " there was
something wrong with recording..." I took that as a
copyright protection problem.
Could there be something else, then?
TIA
