Recently, my CD burner has stopped working properly. When i burn audio CD's
(regular .wav files) they always turn out unreadable no matter what CD
player i use.
I'm using Nero burning ROM and looking through their support i found this
link to the windows support web pages:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q320174
After downloading the update it turns out that the install file isn't
compatible with my OS language. I'm using Win XP pro in swedish.
It seems that i'm stuck in a catch 22 situation here. can somebody please
help me?
Specs:
AMD Athlon 600 MHz
128 MB RAM
Asus K7M motherboard
Soundblaster Live! platinum
IBM DPTA 372050 CD-ROM
Sony CDU 4811 CD-RW
Win XP pro (swedish version)
Nero burning ROM 5.5.9.12 |

Thanks, but that didn't work... All the CD's i make are playable until 12
seconds into the first track, then it just stops. What gives? |

If the discs appear to be recording correctly ie the process completes; then
the probability is that you are either writing at an inappropriate speed for
the media, or the media is not compatible with your hardware. Audio is much
more fussy to record than data.
