Hi everyone,
I have the Pioneer DVR-106D and it worked fine until I used a cd cleaner
disk to clean it.
Since I've done the cleaning, the DVR-106D can't read CD-RW anymore and
failed to burn cds as well. I have tried 2 different CD-RW and both failed.
I have update the firmware to 1.07, but no change.
Can't anyone help me, or do I have to by another DVD writer ?
Do you know any softs or tools I could use to test the device ?

CD cleaning discs are a method of last resort and when everything is working
should be avoided like the plague. You have either upset the alignment of
the head or introduced more grime. There's not much you can do about the
former, but further careful cleaning may help with the latter.
Updating the firmware is hardly likely to affect defective cleaning and/or
damage and merely introduces another variable to contend with.
