Okay, I put in the first CD, after restarting the computer. It recognizes
it, see all the songs. Take that CD out, put another one in and it still
shows me everything from the first CD.

If I am using MusicMatch to listen to the cd's, the playlist will always
show what was on the first cd even though it plays songs from the first cd.

I am really lost here. I have tried removing and letting it re-install, but
that didn't work. I also found updated driver files for Windows 2000 and
that didn't work.

Thanks in advance,

Don Manning

Try the following... Right click your cd drive icon and from

the drop down box select Remount.
Hopefully this will fix the problem.

My regards.

I am using Windows 2000. Is this for XP maybe? I don't have that option when
I right click on the cd-rom icon.

Dunno about XP Don, I'm old fashioned I use Windoze98, I
would use Win 3.1 but me bits of hardware won't run with that
version, so the right click on the icon is for 98 as far as I know.

Come on out ther help us all out :-)).

Refresh is in the view menu for the directory in explorer, should be in

Check/Try this?

Start/Run/Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Update.

Create a new DWORD value (or modify the existing value) named
"UpdateMode" and
set it to equal "0" for faster updates. Restart Windows for the change
to take effect.

Check also Auto Insert Notification is ON.

If you don't have TweakUI, get it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/powertoys/networking/nttweakui.asp
(In Paranoia tab, uncheck Auto play/run.)
