if its stable its ok, is Windows running ok? run 3dmark2k3 to check for
stability and also get memtest86 to test your ram stability.

If your mainboard has a legacy bios you can set 8x133 in bios giving 2133mhz
and a true xp2600 @ 133fsb
The xp2400 has the multiplier bits set to high,so from 12 and up wont
work,upto 11 are the lower bits multipliers and some of them are then
translated to higher ones.
8x = 16x 8,5x = 17x etc. just experiment with all multipliers.
You are bound to have to reset the cmos jumper on mainboard several times
but you will find which multipliers work.
Also start with 100fsb,chances are you have more success in finding those
multipliers without setting the mhz too high.
Because the xp2400 needs extra vcore power to get over 2250 mhz.
6x = 14x
6,5x = 21x
7x = 15x
7,5x = 22,5x works for me
8x = 16x works for me
8,5x = 16,5x works for me
9x = 17x works for me
9,5x = 18x works for me
10x = 23x works for me
10,5x = 24x
11,5x = 19x works for me
12,5x = 20x
So you see,it's easy to set wrong and wont boot at all.Some that work for me
was with 100fsb.
btw. i got kt3ultra mainboard.

I'm running my xp2400+ at 166x12.5 for an equivalent of 2700+ on my Asus
a7n8x. It is unlocked and I can access all multipliers! I have 2x256 of
crucial 2100 ddr. I plan to get some 3200 ddr and try 10x200. Great cpu,
I'm sure you can push it farther, I really haven't tried to push it to its
limits though. good luck! |

I'm running confortably my XP 2400+ at 2222 MHz (202 x 11). Voltage set to
1.725 volts, air cooling (Thermalright SLK-800). I have two sticks of 256 Mb
Corsair XMS3200 CAS2.

The original poster has not unlocked his cpu so after 145fsb he's gonna
lockup.
So he needs to unlock the lower bits for lower multiplier or use the remap
table for bios multiplier to set higher.
