I have a emachines T3025, I run windows Xp, and have netframework 2.0 installed. My computer just started freezing up last night. The last thing I did on my computer was initiate a binary file to download through my nzb o matic program which is known to be very stable. I opened the message id through firefox but also have ie 6.0. I rebooted my computer several times when this first occured and it is still freezing up on my profile within the first 30 seconds of loading into my profile.
What possible things should I try. Can my nzb o matic program cause windows to freeze if it somehow has a corrupt file. I was going to try a system restore, creating a new profile and moving my main needed files, then deleted my old profile, run spy ware and virus programs, then if that doesnt work I was going to try to remove nzb o matic and readd it. The last thing I could think of is to try my other hard drive. I have 40 gb free on a 160 gb hard drive. On my wifes profile it loads slower than normal but doesnt freeze like it does on mine. This just started last night.
Thanks in advance for any advice given. |
