Post subject: ICH9 and legacy support
I have heard twice that Intel drops PS/2 and LPT support in ICH9.

Intel has never implemented legacy I/O in their chipsets, just the bus to connect it to.
It was originally in the ISA super IO chip, which moved to LPC bus in 8XX chipset.
So what is Intel really doing? They would have to drop all or nothing.
