MS Office and Excel (office 2003 basic) are locking up with a generic
application hung event code.
I have tried running "repair" option from cd and that did not solve the
problem. I removed Office 2003 basic using add/remove programs and
re-installed Office and the problem still exists.
Basically I can open word and type about 5 or 6 senteces and it locks up.

Visit http://office.microsoft.com and use the Check for Updates on
the Upper-Right corner of the web page. Just like other programs
you always need to make sure the application is fully updated. This
is especially true if the app isn't performing properly.
