Well, he's the same one that posted the same info about the Satellite
5000 class action lawsuit.
Up until recently I had worked for almost 10 years at a Premier
Toshiba service center. To the best of my knowledge both of those
class action lawsuits were settled a couple of years ago. I don't
remember all the details but I know there were a number of options
given the owners of those units, including extending the warranty for
another year or so. The best deal going on the 5000 series was to
return the computer (working or not) to Toshiba in return for a $1500
credit at Toshiba Direct to purchase a new computer. Considering that
$1500 would buy a computer considerably better than the Desktop P3
based 5000 series it was a real bargain. Yeah, you had to buy another
Toshiba but...
Anyway, it is old news that was probably being posted just to draw
people to his website. :-)
