Hi:

I was recently given a Maxtor ATA133 30GB drive. But it runs very slowly.
According to HD Tune 2.53, Mode 6 was supported but Mode 1 is active.

I have tried the drive on primary master and slave, and secondary master and
slave. Same result. It is not the computer because other drives seem to
function correctly.

How can I enable any mode faster than 1 on this Maxtor drive?
