My short brakdown is

True Image Home 10.0: Very good in all regards, a bit slow
Drive Snapshot 1.38: Hard to use, bad hardware support
Vista native tool: has limites FS sipport, very limited functionality
Disk Image 2.0: Unreliable and bad driver support. Stay away.
Drive Backup Personal 8.5: Good, a bit slow, not too easy to use
R-Drive Image 4.0: Unreliable, very slow. Stay away.
Norton Save&Restore 2.0: Good overall, but True IMage is better

Interestingly all three imagers using a Linux rescue system
(True Image, Drive Backup and R-Drive) have very good scores
in the hardware/driver support tests, while all others had
problems with at least some hardware.
