Hi - I need help. I have an eMachine purchased in 2003 and the "Geeks" at Best Buy tell me that the power button/start button on the CPU is bad and needs to be replaced. Can I do this myself...it seems so simple.. where do I get the part? Can anyone advise me. thanks so much. [/b]

Well, it depends on how the internals of your box are set up. If the button is directly connected to the motherboard, it would be dificult, and require some welding. If not, you might be able to do it yourself. Go to the eMachine website and see if they offer replacement parts for purchase (for your model). You might have to talk to their tech support if you cannot find anything online.
