I have been an owner of the Creative WebCam Live! Ultra came for about a
year. First running it on Windows XP, and as of about 3 months ago, on
Vista Ultimate.
For some unknown reason, about two months ago, the camera has started to
show any images with a heavy PINK color. I tried chaning all of the
settings (including advanced) but still - it does not display the correct
color. I can see the "PINK problem" on my side, so it's not some 3rd part
software that seems to be doing it.
This change happened suddenly (meaning that the upgrade to Vista did not
cause it, as it ran just fine initially). I have tried the very latest
driver (released just one month ago) but it did not improve the situation.
Otherwise, the camera works just fine with MSN, Skype or anything else. The
image is sharp and this just has me baffled.
Anyone with ideas as to what is going on? |

In the past I've herd of some type of mold like material starting
to degrade the IR filter in cams. I think the filter was cleaned
with acohol or somehing similar. |

Any chance you post an image from it somewhere so we could see the |
problem. Years ago I had a camera (can't remember the brand) that did
something similar...images went sort of pinkish-red. But before I put my
foot in it (so to speak) I would like to see if it is the same. |

It turned out that my Camera went bad and I just echanged it for another
one, and that one is working fine. The original (bad one), I hooked up to
another machine, and it was giving me the same problems.
