This mf/ printer worked fine for 3 years and then began to need the driver
reinstalled. The problem got worse on ugrading from Win98 to XP. I've
checked add/ remove programs each time & HP driver noted 'vacant'. The
devices copies, faxes and scans OK.
Certain PDF printing or real estate listing forms seem to be associated with
many crashes
Google serach brings up a lot of complaints on this, but no variation of
downloading new drivers holds for even a week. I don't want to shell out for
another m/f.
Anyone have any advice, thanks

I'm sorry I'm unable to help specifically, but it seems this should be
addressed to HP, if they still answer customer or technical support
matters. It may be an accidental bug introduced during driver updating.
