Whats the difference between nforce drivers which are supposed to come
w/the motherboard vs. NVIDIA graphics drivers which come withe the
graphics cards.
The official NVIDIA install instructions say to install both the
nforce and then the nvidia
drivers to setup SLI cards. But some other explanations don't mention
the nforce drivers...
Any help appreciated to help me understand...

The nforce drivers are for the mainboard. Drivers that come with the
card or video card drivers that are downloaded from NVIDIA's web site
are for the video card.

Probably because that SLI function has something to do with the
mainboard chipset and its drivers.

The nforce drivers are for the NVIDIA chipset mainboard, the video
card drivers are for the video card.
