I'm sure it is if only enough of the right parts are
replaced. Better question is whether it's cost-effective to
fix but based on the symptom there's no way to know, nor did
you mention the age or duty cycle (# of on hours).

Did it work fine then all of a sudden one day it wouldn't
turn on besides the light, or ???

Probably yes but not worth the price of the repair.

You say the light come's on... is this the standby light or the power up
light..?

What Johncena420 was implying it could well be the power up signal from
the computer.... or even the lead.

The first test is to try it on another computer or at least try another
monitor to determine what is at fault, delving in the monitor is ok if
this is at fault, but it ain't gonna prove anything if it should be the
lead or the computer.

If it's a Trinitron it's more than likely to be a Sony Trinitron model
since Sony hold's the Trinitron patent.

The Trinitron tube differs from the usual cathode ray tube in
construction, the A1 connector that is the anode cap, the big thick red
wire that carries around 24KV going to the top of the tube has 2
connectors not one, I've known a couple of so-called engineer's fitting
this connector wrong and then telling the customer that the set had a
duff tube when the fault laid elsewhere..!
