With Word 2007 installed on around 900 computers, users are reporting that
when they click to open a Word document from Windows Explorer, the Word
application opens without displaying a document OR nothing at all happens.
Through trial and error, we've discovered a fix. If we delete the following
Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and Template folders from the user's
Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft directory,
everything seems to work again, at least for a while. Anybody know what is
causing this problem?
