Hi all, can i use this old machine SparcStorage Array 1010 in x86
system, with any tipe of Fibre Optic Host Adapter Card ??? I have also
one Sun A5200, the same question for this ??

SSAs use a proprietary fibre channel standard that runs quarter-speed
of a standard gigabit fibre connection (250mbit/sec) and uses fibre
channel optical modules (FCOMs), not GBICs. Thus you can probably only
use these with special SBus HBAs on Sun servers of the era... I don't
think a proper PCI HBA exists for these (and even if one did, drivers
for x86 are another issue).

The A5200, on the other hand, is a standard 1gbit/sec FC-AL JBOD
array, and can be made to work on most anything, including x86
platforms/OSes.
