I'm looking at the Latitude D620 or D630 laptop and debating the
screen resolution - WXGA+ at 1440x900 or WXGA at 1280x800. Is
1440x900 actually usable on a 14.1" display? I currently have a 19"
monitor with a native resolution of 1280x1024 and text is fairly small
even on that large of a display.

I find 1440 x 900 to be very usable. The text is small, but the
display is bright and clear that it's very readable for me. I have a
640m with True Life (14.1").
Contrary to popular opinion, changing the display resolution to 1280 x
768 is just fine if I want larger print (seldom, but sometimes I put
my laptop on a stand next to my chair as I read a book and take notes
with an external keyboard).
